In addition, the students are taught the essential portions of Yajur Veda, 4000 Divya Prabandham and Agama subjects. Emphasis is given more to the Students’ adherence to perform their nithya karmanushtana such as trikala sandhya vandana and reciting stotra pathas as per the sampradaya. According to the University syllabus, Tamil, English languages, Computer Science are also taught in keeping with the requirements of modern times. This ensures and enhances the students’ employability after passing out. The students are trained in Yoga and encouraged to engage in extra-curricular activities such as Sports (indoor and outdoor games) and culturals to stimulate their metabolism, character, spirit and personality. Students are deputed to various National and State-level seminars and competitions to bring out their best. Every year regular Seminars are organized by the Mahavidyalaya to benefit the students to expand their knowledge base.
The Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi (formerly Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan) is funding the Institution and offers Scholarship to all the Students. The Mahavidyalaya ensures its Students to acquire sound knowledge in all the fields and this help them to find suitable placements after passing out. The faculty keeps in touch with the Alumni and render academic help to those students who pursue M.Phil., and Ph.D even after leaving the Institution. It is noteworthy that the Alumni of this Mahavidyalaya were recipients of President Gold Medal and made mark in their chosen fields. Some of the Alumni have become later the heads of Sri Ahobila Math(H H 45th Jeeyar) and Srirangam Srimad Andavan Ashramam ( Srimad Srimushnam Andavan). All these factors influence one to choose to study in this Mahavidyalaya.
